Browser extension
Kagoj, from any tab.
A floating launcher on any page: record, screenshot, annotate, pick a colour, or clip the page, each to a clean short link, without leaving the tab.
What it does
- Record the screen
- A tab, window or your whole screen, with an optional mic and a draggable webcam bubble.
- Screenshot anything
- A selected area, the full scrolling page, a single element, or the visible tab.
- Annotate first
- Every shot opens an editor with arrows, boxes, text, highlight, blur and crop, before it saves.
- Pick a colour
- An eyedropper anywhere on screen. Copy the hex, or save it as a note.
- Clip the page
- Pull the readable article into a clean Markdown document.
- Share the page
- Its title, URL and any selected text. Or drop a file straight onto the button.
Installing it yourself
Until the Store listing clears review, Kagoj installs the way any unpublished extension does: from a folder, in developer mode. It takes about a minute, and there is nothing temporary about it: it stays until you remove it.
- 1
Download and unzip it
You get a folder with a manifest.json inside. Keep it somewhere you won't delete by accident, because Chrome loads the extension from where the folder sits, not from a copy.
- 2
Open the extensions page
Paste chrome://extensions into the address bar. Chrome refuses links to its own pages, so it has to be pasted rather than clicked.
- 3
Turn on Developer mode
The switch is in the top right. Until it is on, the Load unpacked button stays hidden.
- 4
Load unpacked
Click it, choose the folder you unzipped, and Kagoj joins the list.
- 5
Pin it, then sign in
Pin Kagoj from the puzzle-piece menu, click the icon, and sign in with Google. There is no API key to paste.
Two things to expect from developer mode. Chrome may greet you on startup with a notice offering to disable developer-mode extensions, and keeping Kagoj is fine. Updates are manual until the listing is live, so come back here for a newer build.
How it works
- Sign in with Google
- No API key to paste. You approve it once, and it's revocable from Agent keys.
- Installs light
- Access to kagoj.app only. One-click page capture is an optional switch you turn on, and off, any time.
- Saved to your shelf
- Everything lands on your own shelf, on an unlisted link that opens immediately.
- Least privilege
- It can create and read your documents. It can never change who they're shared with, or delete them.
